Fabulous Fridays!

07 June 2013
Can you all believe it is Friday? What a relief! I'm thankful this week has flown by. Between the misery that is visiting the DOL to renew my tabs for my car (what do you men you don't take my credit union's Visa debit card?) and having horrible back pain Tuesday night through Thursday morning, It was a little bit of a rough ride (oh hi blisters on my feet from trekking around searching for an ATM). So here I am going to share with you what made my week fabulous!

Blasting and singing along to this song in the car.

Dancing along to this song with my one year old nephew.

Hiking on Sunday!

Ice cream and park date with my five-year old nephew:

We balanced spoons on our noses.

Dr. Chocolate. Bonus: Desmond's little dance of excitement when I explained what came in Dr. Chocolate.
Vinyasa yoga after work on Monday.

Reading this book before bed every night.

Beautiful run along the waterfront after work on Thursday:

The view!

Yes you are!
Post-run dinner and drinks with girlfriends at Huckleberry Pub off NW 23rd.

Dinner at Ox with dad (post to come this weekend).

My sister made peanut butter brownie bars:

Perfectly acceptable post-run snack.
When I look at it that way, this week was pretty fabulous! What happened that made your week fabulous? I'd love to hear from you in the comments!

  1. I got to wear comfy clothes to work two days this week! I met up with a friend for an early morning run! I've hardly had to plan out the schedule of the day for my students since end of the year stuff is here! I went on a walk with my husband! I saw pretty clouds on my drive home last night!

    1. Oh, the bars are so good- they're actually on the lighter side with a light, crispy crust.

  4. What a week! And WHOA to those peanut butter chocolate bars! WHOOOOOOOOOA horsey! :)

This week went by so fast! I was so grateful to have time with my boyfriend, great quality time before heading to SF for the summer. And of course, being here safely, being at home and reunited with my mom, and the free book from my delays at the airport! :)

  6. How did you like Huckleberry? A friend of mine from culinary school opened it with his wife, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

  8. Oh my godddd. Are you my long lost twin or what? Two things: I, too, sing along to some TLC when I am alone! And two: I JUST finished the Book Thief for the third time. Isn't it the greatest story ever? Hands down -- my favorite book. Such a unique writing style Markus has! I am always so thrilled when I've heard of others who have read his book. :) You rock!

  9. Haha, glad I'm not the only one! TLC had some really good songs! I am loving the Book Thief- it's my first read, based on your Instagram recommenation and another friend's IRL recommendation (within the same day- I took it as a sign). Markus' writing is so inspiring, and it's reminding me why I love to read. I can't wait for bed tonight so I can pick it back up! :)
