Fabulous Fridays: July 5

05 July 2013
TGI-Second Friday, y'all! I'm one of those people who has to work on the Friday after the holiday, so it's a bit weird to me to have essentially two Fridays this week (anyone else?). But, given the short week, it was definitely a fabulous one, filled with many fabulous moments!

I celebrated the 4th of July with my family, and sangria was involved. It's pretty awesome having a dad who likes mixing drinks.

I went to my first canning swap, and I came away with some awesome stuff.

I was at Fred Meyer while wearing this dress, and a lady approached me and said, "you win!" I was rather perplexed, thinking perhaps she was impressed that I was checking off items on my printed recipe, but no. She explained that she admired how put-together I looked while out shopping the afternoon before the 4th. You better believe I finished my shopping with a huge old grin.

I went for another run, this time taking a more adventurous approach, making little detours here and there along the waterfront. It was such a beautiful day, I couldn't resist!

Quality time with this girl. She is so cute and so soft, she simply makes me happy.

Well, friends, how was you week? What made it fabulous? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below!

    1. Thank you! The great thing about the celebrations is they photograph very well since everyone is wearing red, white, and blue!

  3. You definitely won for being the best dressed the day after the 4th. I wore a black shirt and dark jeans... I think I was subconsciously depressed that my favorite holiday was over. (I had a wonderful 4th of July though filled with hikes, burgers and fireworks.)

    1. There are so many cool things to do in this town, and communities to be a part of, and I'd hate to miss out on any of it! I plan on doing a post on the swap- I got kombucha, cordial, 2 jams, and a shrub. So exciting to trade for things I've never made myself!
