This year's festivities felt like an idyllic all-American 4th of July. There was a lot of food, plenty of sangria, and great company. We had sunshine and lots of fun just sitting in the backyard, watching the boys do what boys do (like attempt to jump over a dirt pit). The night was topped off with some fireworks, and we did a bit of cheating by enjoying watching the neighbors' display from our driveway. Here are some pictures from the celebration:
What made your 4th of July complete? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below!
that kiddo's face! too presh. this looks like my kind of 4th celebration. relaxed and full of fun
ReplyDeleteOh my, Rachel. This reminds me so much of my 4th celebrations with my family! The 4th of July is a pretty big day in my family... however, since I moved away I have not been to one in three years. Definitely miss them!
ReplyDeleteThe husband and I actually went to an old-fashioned parade while we were in Half Moon Bay and then headed to the beach to relax. Something totally different than what we would normally do on the 4th... but I loved it nonetheless!
Sounds (and looks) like you guys had such fun, I love it! :D
Family celebrations are just so laid-back and fun- and it's hard when you miss out on them, I know!
DeleteUm, an old-fashioned parade sounds really cool, and I'm glad you could enjoy your day despite being far from family. :)
Nothing better than a free fireworks display! Great crisp photos, Rachel!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! It looks like a day of vibrant celebration and joy.
ReplyDeleteThank you- it really was!
