Where is this?! I LOVE the pics. What a change from the bright, sunny bikini-clad pics of beaches. Not that those are bad, but grey has it's own beautiful place as well. And that massive rock island thing?! Stunning.
GORGEOUS photos! We usually try to hit Cannon Beach several times a year but have only gone a handful so far this year. Hoping to make it more this summer. Love your photo essay of one of my fave places :)
I agree. These are great captures of Cannon Beach. We love it there. Our favorite fish and chips is at the restaurant Ecola Seafoods http://www.ecolaseafoods.com/ourmenu.asp.
I love your photos. They are a nice variation of the usual beach photos I stumble across. I am a beach girl (who just doesn't live at or near a beach). We travel to Florida, several times each summer and I never want to leave. I am new to your blog & it's charming and inviting. I will definitely be back soon.
This is really cool! If I'm not entirely mistaken, Lyndsey's parents took me to that beach when I was visiting Lyndsey the summer of 2010. I think I recognize the cliff in the first picture. Is it on the Oregon coast and there is a huge sand dune there? The pictures are very pretty!
Thank you, Ina! Yes, it's on the Oregon Coast and I wouldn't be surprised if it's where you went since it is such an iconic spot on our coast. It's at Cannon Beach, and the rock is Haystack Rock. It was also in the Goonies.
Now you're allowed words down here I'm thinking!

ReplyDeleteOh, I love it! How fun is it to get away for awhile? :) The beach is such a perfect spot to do so, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am amazed by that huge rock-mountain-thing in the middle of the water, wow! Stunning! :D
Thank you, Latrina! I don't get out to the coast often, but really enjoy it when I do! :)
