Happy Friday and TGIF my friends! This was a strange week to say the least, and it ended with me sort of feeling like a harbinger of death (both of my brother-in-law's koi died in the fish tank in my bedroom, and a bird flew into my windshield when I was driving on the freeway last night). But there were plenty of things that made this week fabulous, and here are a few:
Hummus plate with homemade hummus, homemade giardiniera, and homemade pickled red onions.
I got two quality nights with my nephew, watching Disney movies in my living room.
I got all verklempt reading the comments on my post about these past 3 months of blogging.
Had fun hanging out with girlfriends last night- girl time is always awesome.
I brought my nephew balloons from the Portland Bloggers Family Picnic. He carried them around the rest of the night.
I got all verklempt reading the comments on my post about these past 3 months of blogging.
I received my package from Quinn for the Snail Mail Collective!

Before I wish you a happy weekend, I'd like to introduce you to an awesome blogger named Erika of Chimerikal! You may have heard me mention her before, but here's a little more about this fantastic woman:
Why do you blog?
I blog for many reasons… to document and share my life, because I genuinely enjoy it and the aspects associated with it, and to create community. I blog for friendship and self-expression.
When do you feel most confident?
The times in my life when I've felt the most confident have been when I've traveled, when I've met new people, when I was performing onstage, and when I've given my all to something. I feel the most confident when I feel alive, when I feel healthy, when I feel like I'm being the person I'm meant to be (instead of thinking about how something's off or not right).
What is the best thing that has happened to you recently?
Blogging! I feel like blogging has really opened up so much good stuff in my life, has given me a passion and an outlet, and has taught me so much -- not to mention introduced me to some wonderful people. Besides that, just getting to travel a little bit domestically and see some old friends and familiar faces.
To get you started, check out Erika's Reverse Bucket List, tips on building your blogger confidence, and her thoughtful piece about throwing out her bucket list. Check her out- she is one dynamic woman!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Did you do anything great this week? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below.
